Protect Your Phone from Damage, Loss or Theft

You'd be surprised at what happens to phones. From accidents to theft and loss, we hear all sorts of stories—and they could happen to anyone. That's why it’s a good idea to protect yourself, so you don't end up paying to replace your phone. And that's where the Mobile Protection Plan comes in.

What does the Mobile Protection Plan cover?

All CREDO Mobile phones are eligible for coverage. The coverage includes your mobile phone, a standard battery and wall charger. See program guide for full details.

When am I covered?

Coverage starts immediately if the Mobile Protection Plan and phone are purchased on the same date. Coverage starts 30 days following the enrollment date if the Mobile Protection Plan and phone are purchased on different dates. Please note that your phone must be fully operational and have no damage in order to be eligible for coverage.

What am I covered against?

Loss, theft, or damage. Forget your phone at the coffee shop? Run it over with your car? Your phone is covered against a wide array of incidents—from the commonplace to the crazy.

Mechanical or electrical failure. Sometimes phones just stop working. In these cases, most manufacturer warranties provide limited coverage for a limited period. The Mobile Protection Plan covers mechanical and electrical defects for 12 months after the manufacturer's warranty expires.

What does the Mobile Protection Plan cost?

For your convenience, we'll add the cost of your monthly premium to your CREDO Mobile bill. If you have a covered loss, the deductible will be collected by eSecuritel at the time your claim is processed.

What are the plan limits?

A maximum limit of $1,500 (less the deductible) applies per covered loss. There is also a limit of two claims within a rolling 12-month period. The replacement device may be a refurbished phone or a phone of similar kind and quality.

How do I sign up?

To enroll, just follow these easy steps.

  1. Sign in to your Member Services account. Don't have one? It only takes a minute to register.
  2. Scroll down to your phone and click phone insurance. Then scroll down to Insure Your Phone and select Mobile Protection Plan.
  3. Review the insurance brochure, check the box and then click add services to cart at the lower right.
  4. Click check out and proceed through checkout.

How do I file a claim?

If something happens to your phone, simply file a claim within 60 days of the incident. eSecuritel will help you with the claim procedure to get your phone replaced. If your claim is approved, eSecuritel will send you the same or a comparable phone model, usually within 72 hours of authorization, depending on phone availability..

To file your claim:

  1. Make sure you know the make and model of your phone.
  2. If your phone is lost or stolen, sign into CREDO Mobile Member Services and suspend your service to protect yourself against unauthorized charges.
  3. Start the claim through the eSecuritel online claim center. Please go to esecuritel.com/credomobile, then click Claim Center.
  4. Call 855-687-5850 to finalize your claim. Please note: the person calling to file the claim must be the account holder or an authorized user on the account. An eSecuritel representative will walk you through the claims process.
