Activation & Setup
Activate your Samsung Transform
When you receive your new Samsung Transform smartphone from CREDO Mobile, please wait to turn on the phone. Your battery has been preinstalled for your convenience and we recommend that you charge the phone for a couple of hours. Please use another phone to call our friendly customer service team at 800.411.0848. During the phone activation process, we'll change Sprint's default settings, set up your personal e-mail and customize your phone for your specific needs.
If you're transferring your phone number from another carrier, please don't call us from your new phone or the phone you're transferring the number from. Call us with a third phone and we will initiate the transfer. Once your number has transferred, you will receive an e-mail from us confirming that the transfer is complete. Before you can start using your phone, you will need to follow a few simple steps to complete the activation. Please click here for instructions.
All sales and service for your new phone is handled directly by CREDO Mobile, not Sprint. Therefore, please call our friendly customer service team if you ever have questions (800.411.0848).
Connecting to Wi-Fi®
By default, your phone's Wi-Fi feature is turned off. Turning on Wi-Fi makes your device able to discover and connect to compatible in-range Wi-Fi networks. To turn Wi-Fi on:
- Press

> Settings > Wireless & networks.
- Tap Wi-Fi to activate the feature. (A check mark indicates this feature is enabled.) The device will scan for available in-range wireless networks.
- Tap Wi-Fi settings. The network names and security settings (open network or secured with WEP/WAP, etc.) of detected Wi-Fi networks are displayed in the Wi-Fi networks section.
- Tap a Wi-Fi network to connect to. If you select an open network, your device will automatically be connected. If you select a network that is secured with WPA, WEP, etc., enter the security key (password), and then tap Connect.
Pair a Bluetooth® device
By default, your device's Bluetooth feature is turned off. To turn on Bluetooth and pair your headset:
- Press
>
> Settings > Wireless & networks.
- Tap the Bluetooth field to select the feature. (A check mark indicates this feature is enabled.) When Bluetooth is active,
appears on the status bar.
- Tap Bluetooth settings.
Note: Your headset must be in pairing mode so the Samsung Transform can see it. Please review your headset's user guide for information on putting it in pairing mode.
- Tap Scan for devices. Your device will display a list of discovered in-range Bluetooth devices.
- Tap a device you would like to pair with, enter a passkey (if necessary), and Tap OK.
- The device will be paired when it enters the same passkey.
Setting Up Your Voicemail
- Press

> Voicemail.
- In the Personalize your voicemail dialog box, tap Personalize now.
- Follow the voice prompts to:
- Create your password.
- Record your name announcement.
- Record your greeting.
Customize your Home Screen
- Press and hold an empty spot on the home screen or press

Add. The Add to Home Screen window appears.
- Select the type of item you want to add:
- Shortcuts: Select to add a shortcut: Applications, Bookmark, Contact, Direct dial, Direct message, Directions & Navigation, Gmail label, Latitude, Music playlist, or Settings. (Most of these options will expand to let you choose specific items.)
- Widgets: Select to add a widget (a mini-version of an application) such as an analog clock, calendar, music player, power control, or CREDO Widget.
- Folders: Select to add a folder to organize your home screen items.
- Wallpapers: Select to change the home screen's wallpaper. The CREDO ID pack preloaded some great wallpapers to choose from. Select ID wallpaper from within Wallpapers and tap Set wallpaper.
