Use Google Play™

Google Play offers a huge selection of apps, games, books and movies that you can download to personalize your phone. To get started:

Press > > Play .
If you don't already have a Google account on your phone, you'll need to set one up. You can sign in using an existing Google or Gmail account, or create a new one. Just follow the on-screen prompts.
Tap Accept to agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. (You only need to do this on your first visit.)
To find what you want:
- Browse: Tap a main category on the Google Play home screen then explore by Featured, Categories, Top Paid, Top Free and more.
- Search: Tap on any page, enter the name or keyword, and then tap again.
Tap an item to read a description and user reviews.
Tap Install (for free items) or the price button (for paid items and rentals).

Take pictures

Taking pictures with the built-in camera is as simple as choosing a subject, pointing the lens and pressing a button.

Please note: Be sure your microSD card is installed, as this is where your photos and videos will be stored.

Press and hold the camera button on the lower right side of the phone to activate camera mode. (You can also press > > Camera .)
Aim the camera lens at your subject.
Tap or press the camera button until the shutter sounds.

To switch to video mode, move the on-screen slider from camera icon to video icon .

Transfer music and other files to and from your computer

You can transfer music, pictures and videos to and from your phone using a USB cable. This will work with most Windows and Mac operating systems, but it's dependent on your computer's setup. If you have any problems connecting your phone to your computer and a restart doesn't help, you may need to buy a microSD™-to-USB converter, such as a SanDisk® MobileMate™.

Connect your phone to your computer using the included USB cable.
You should see a Select USB mode screen on your phone. Tap Mass storage.
On the USB connected screen, tap Turn on USB storage then tap OK.
On your computer, find and open the newly created removable drive for your phone. (This is found in Computer or My Computer on a PC and on your desktop on a Mac.)
Drag and drop files to or from your phone's drive as desired. When copying files to your phone, place them in the main folder.
When you're done, tap Turn off USB storage on your phone so you safely disconnect.

Use voice-guided navigation

Before you begin, be sure to turn GPS on in settings:

Press > > Settings > Location & security.
Tap Use GPS satellites. A check mark will appear. You may also want to check Use wireless networks as this can make it easier to find your location.

Now to get turn-by-turn, voice-guided directions:

Press > > Navigation .
If you get a pop-up message, read through and tap Accept to continue.
To enter a destination, you can tap:
- Speak Destination to use the voice recognition feature to search for matching locations in your area.
- Type Destination to type in an address.
- Contacts to choose an address in your Contacts.
- Starred Places to get directions to a location you starred in Google maps.
Once the destination has been selected, the turn-by-by turn voice guided navigation will begin.

Please note: GPS can drain your battery faster. We recommend only turning it on when you need it.
