Just follow the instructions below to activate your CREDO Mobile phone.
- Turn on your new phone by holding down the End button (usually red) for three seconds.
- When you're on your phone's home screen, press the Menu button to open your main menu. Use the arrow buttons to select the Settings/Tools icon and press OK. Select Tools > Activate and press OK.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your new phone. After each entry or selection, highlight Next and then press OK. When you see your new phone number, write it down for future reference. On the final screen, select Done to complete your activation.
For new numbers, activation may take up to four hours to complete. If you are transferring a number from another carrier, this process may take up to 24 hours. If your phone still isn't working after 24 hours, please call customer service at 800.411.0848.
- To turn on your phone, press and hold the
button.
- Enter a phone number. (If you make a mistake while dialing, press
to erase the numbers.)
- Press
to place the call. (To make a call when you are roaming and Call Guard is enabled, highlight Roam Call and press
. )
- Press
or close the phone when you are finished.
You can store up to 600 contacts entries in your phone. Your phone automatically sorts the contacts entries alphabetically.
To save a number:
- Enter a phone number and press OPTIONS (top right soft key) > Save.
- Highlight New Entry or Existing Entry and press
(if applicable).
- Highlight a label and press
.
- Use the keypad to enter the new contact name and press DONE (top left sof key) to save the new entry.
- Press
> Contacts
- Highlight the entry you want to call and press
to dial the entry's default phone number.
You can store up to 98 numbers in your phone's speed dial memory. Dial these entries using one keypress for locations 2–9 or two key presses for locations 10–99.
To use One-Touch Dialing for speed dial locations 2–9:
- Press and hold the appropriate key for approximately two seconds. The display confirms that you have dialed the number when it shows "connecting..."
To use Two-Touch Dialing for speed dial locations 10–99:
- Press the first digit.
- Press and hold the second digit for approximately two seconds. The display confirms that you have dialed the number when it shows "connecting..."
Your phone automatically transfers all unanswered calls to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. You should set up your voicemail and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated. Always use a password to protect against unauthorized access.

- Create your password.
- Record your name announcement.
- Record your greeting.
From your phone's home screen, press Messages (top left soft key) > Send Message.
To select a single recipient:
- Highlight a contact from the Go to Contacts list and press
.
- - or - Press NEW ADDR (top right soft key) to enter new recipient information.
To compose a message:
- From a screen where you can enter text, press OPTIONS (top right soft key) to change the Text Mode.
- Select one of the following options:
- Predictive Text to enter text using a predictive text system that reduces the number of key presses required while entering a word.
- Abc to use multi-tap entry (press once for "a," twice for "b," three times for "c," etc.)
- 123 to enter numbers by pressing the numbers on the keypad.
- Symbols to enter symbols.
- Smileys to enter emoticons.
- Text Settings to turn on or off the following: Auto-Capital, Auto-Space, Dual Language, Word Choice List, Word Prediction, Word Completion, and Use My Words.
Your phone provides a variety of ringer options that let you customize your ring and volume settings. These also let you identify incoming calls by the ring.
Press
> Settings/Tools > Settings > Ringers > Incoming Calls.
To assign a ringer to One Contact:
- Select Contact Entries > One Contact.
- Highlight a single contact and press ASSIGN (top left soft key).
- Select one of the following: Default Ringer, Downloaded, Preloaded or No Ringer.
- Use your navigation key to scroll through the available ringers. A sample ringer will sound as you highlight each option.
- Press
to assign a ringer.
