Transfer contacts from a Sanyo 3810

You can transfer contacts from your Sanyo 3810 to your new Moto X using Bluetooth. While there are a number of steps, the whole process should take no more than 5 or 10 minutes. Just follow the instructions below, switching back and forth between the two phones as indicated.

1. From your home screen, press Menu/Ok.  
2. Select Bluetooth.  
3. If Bluetooth is off, select On/Off > On (left soft key). If it’s already on, go to the next step.  
  4. Drag the notification panel down from the top of your screen and tap Person / Settings Icon.
  5. Tap the Bluetooth icon.  
  6. If Bluetooth is off, tap the switch at the top of the screen to turn it on.
  7. Tap XT1056 at the top of the screen to make your phone visible to all nearby Bluetooth devices. (Note: You’ll have 2 minutes to complete the next 4 steps. If it times out before your phones get paired, start over from here.)
8. Select Add a New.  
9. Select XT1056.  
10. Enter 0000 and press Menu/OK.  
  11. Tap the pin field, enter 0000 and tap Done then OK.
12. Change the name for your Moto X, if desired, then select Save (left soft key).  
13. Select Done.  
14. Highlight your Moto X and select Transfer (left soft key).  
15. Select Send Contacts.  
16. Select Send All Contacts.  
17. Select Send (left soft key).  
  18.You should get a Bluetooth share notification about incoming files. Drag the notification panel down and tap the Bluetooth share notification.
  19. Tap Accept on the file transfer screen.
  20. You should get a notification about received files when the transfer is complete.
  21. Press Home Icon > All Apps Icon > People.
  22. Tap menu / 3 dots icon > Import/export.
  23. Tap Import from storage then pick where you’d like to add the contacts if asked.
  24. Tap Import all vCard files > OK. Your contacts should now be on your phone.
