You can transfer music, pictures and videos to and from your phone using a USB cable. This will work with most Windows and Mac operating systems, but it depends on your computer's setup. If you have any problems connecting your phone to your computer and a restart doesn't help, you may need to buy a microSD™-to-USB converter, such as a SanDisk® MobileMate™.
- Connect your phone to your computer using the included USB cable.
- You should see a Connect to PC screen on your phone. Tap Disk drive then tap Done.
- On your computer, find and open the newly created removable disk drive for your phone. (This is found in Computer or My Computer on a PC and on your desktop on a Mac.)
- Drag and drop files to or from your phone's drive as desired. When copying files to your phone, place them in the main folder.
- When you're done, eject the phone's drive on your computer so you safely disconnect.
- From the home screen, tap
> Navigation. GPS signal strength may vary depending on where you are so it may take a while to find your location.
- If you get a pop-up message, read through and tap Accept to continue.
- To enter a destination, you can tap:
- Speak Destination which uses voice recognition to search for matching locations in your area.
- Type Destination to type in an address.
- Contacts to choose an address from your contacts.
- Starred Places to get directions to a location you starred in Google maps.
- If asked which program to use, check the box to make your choice the default, then tap Navigation.
- The turn-by-by turn voice guided navigation will begin.
If your phone is having trouble finding your location, you should make sure your phone is using wireless networks to find your location in addition to GPS:
- From the home screen, tap MENU > Settings > Location.
- Check Use wireless networks if it's not currently checked.
Please note: GPS can drain your battery faster. We recommend only turning it on when you need it.
