4G is an evolution in mobile network technology—and it's all about fast data speeds. CREDO uses Sprint's nationwide 4G network. This cutting-edge network was built from the ground up to deliver broadband-like speeds that are up to 10 times faster than 3G.* You can email and surf the web faster, download music and movies in no time, enjoy YouTube videos in higher resolution and so much more.
We have 4G coverage in over 70 markets around the country. To see if 4G is available in your area, check the 4G box at the top of our coverage map.
No 4G in your area? No problem. Sprint also has a vast (and fast) 3G network throughout the United States. If you have 4G turned on, your phone will automatically switch to the appropriate network when 4G isn't available.
You'll need to turn 4G on to connect to the 4G network. You can easily do this with Quick Settings or the handy 4G widget, which is preinstalled on the screen to the left of your home screen. The 4G widget lets you turn 4G on when you need speed and turn it off when you want to save battery power—all with just a tap on your home screen.
When you're connected,
appears on the status bar and displays the approximate signal strength. When 4G is turned on but you're not connected, you'll see
in the left corner of the status bar.
Please note: While 4G delivers incredible speeds, it can impact your battery life—especially when the 4G signal is weak or unavailable, as your phone will continuously scan for the 4G network. To maximize battery life, we recommend turning off 4G when you're not using it.
To turn 4G on using Quick Settings:
- Touch the notification bar at the top of your screen and drag it all the way down to open Notifications.
- Tap Quick Settings at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap 4G to turn it on. Your phone will scan for the 4G network and automatically connect to it when available.
To add the 4G widget:
- From the home screen, tap
, or press and hold an empty spot on the screen.
- Tap Widget and scroll down and tap Settings.
- Tap 4G, then Select.
- The 4G widget will appear on your home screen. When you want to turn 4G on or off, simply tap the widget. A green bar on the widget indicates that 4G is on.
Many factors can affect the speed and reliability of wireless networks. Your location, whether you're in a building or on the street, and the network capacity can all impact performance. Our 4G network lets you enjoy a fast data connection, however, like all networks, it can be affected by these factors and performance may vary.
The 4G network is used for data only. Voice coverage will continue to be carried through other channels, which means you can use voice and data at the same time while connected to the 4G network.
Please note: If you're not connected to the 4G network, you won't be able to use voice and data service simultaneously.
