You can easily set up a variety of email accounts on your phone. We recommend adding a Windows Live account (including Hotmail, Xbox LIVE, Zune and Messenger) so you can get apps through the Marketplace, use features like Zune and Xbox LIVE and more. If you don't have a Windows Live account, you can sign up for one at live.com.
Please note: If you have multiple Windows Live accounts and want to use your Xbox LIVE or Zune account on the phone, sign in with that account first.
- Press
and tap the Email setup tile.
- Tap the type of account you want to set up.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. In most cases, you'll simply enter your email address and password then tap sign in.
Once you've set up an account, there will be a tile for it on your start screen. Simply tap the tile to go to your inbox.
You can set up a wide variety of email accounts, including Yahoo, Gmail, AOL and other POP/IMAP accounts, plus Outlook and Exchange accounts.
- Press and tap
> Settings > email + accounts > add an account.
- Tap the type of account you want to set up.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. In most cases, you'll simply enter your email address and password then tap sign in.
A tile will be added to your start screen for each account. Simply tap the tile to go to your inbox.
- From your inbox, tap
> settings.
- Change the signature in the gray box to anything you'd like, such as:

If you have multiple email accounts, you'll need to do this for each account.
- From your inbox, tap

- Enter an email address or the name of one of your contacts in the To: field. Matching contacts will appear in a list below. Tap one to fill in the address.
- Tap the Subject: field and enter a subject line.
- Tap the message field and type your message.
- When you're done, tap
at the bottom of the screen.
