When you receive your new BlackBerry® Bold™ 9650 smartphone from CREDO Mobile, please wait to install the battery or turn on the phone, and use another phone to call our friendly customer service team at 800.411.0848. We'll help set up your personal e-mail and activate your SIM card so that it will be ready to use during international travel.
Your BlackBerry Bold smartphone will be shipped with a SIM card. The SIM card stores data and must be installed into the back of your phone, under the battery. One of our friendly customer care representatives can prepare your phone for international travel and help activate and install your SIM card.
Note: Once your SIM card is activated, it will be synced with the phone number assigned to your handset. Your SIM card cannot be used with any other phone number or handset.
Connecting to the Wi-Fi and Wireless Network
- On the main menu of your BlackBerry® smartphone, click on the Manage Connections icon (an antennae).
- Click Setup Wi-Fi Network.
- Choose one of the following actions:
- Click Scan for Networks and select a network.
- Click Manually Add Network. Type in a network name and click Add.
- Complete the on-screen instructions.
- On the Save Wi-Fi Profile screen, scroll to the Profile Name field and type in a name for the Wi-Fi profile. This will save your information for the next time you connect to this Wi-Fi network.
- On the Wi-Fi Setup Complete screen, choose any of the following actions:
- To change the order of your Wi-Fi profiles, click Prioritize Wi-Fi Profiles.
- To complete the Wi-Fi connection setup, click Finish.
