Advanced Apps & Services
- Press
> Slide up the All Programs icon (
) > Browser.
- Press
to open the browser menu.
- Tap More > Settings > Set home page.
- Delete the current address and enter a new webpage. (We recommend testing with credoaction.com)
- Tap OK to complete the process.
In applications that require text entry, such as Messaging, use the copy and paste functions to move text from one application to another.
- Open the application or received message that you want to copy text from.
- Tap and hold the text body to display the options menu.
- Tap Copy message text or Copy all to copy the text.
- Open the application that you want to paste the text into.
- Tap and hold the text box where you want to paste the text.
- Tap Paste from the pop-up menu.
- When viewing a webpage, tap
> More > Select text.
- Tap and drag your finger to highlight the text that you want to copy.
- Release your finger to copy the highlighted text to the clipboard.
- Open the application that you want to paste the selected text into.
- Tap and hold the text box where you want to paste the text.
- Tap Paste from the pop-up menu.
With Three-Way Calling, you can talk to two people at the same time. When using this feature, the normal airtime rates will be charged for each of the two calls.
- Make a phone call and press
> Add call.
- Make another phone call. (Your first call is automatically put on hold.)
- When you are connected to the second party, tap
> Merge calls.
If one of the people you called hangs up during your call, you and the remaining caller stay connected. If you initiated the call and are the first to hang up, all callers are disconnected.
When you're on a call, Call Waiting alerts you to incoming calls by beeping. Your phone's screen lets you know that another call is coming in and displays the caller's phone number (if it is available and you are in digital mode).
To respond to an incoming call while you're on a call:
Press
(This puts the first caller on hold and answers the second call.)
To switch back to the first caller: Press
again.
Google Play provides direct access to an incredible range of applications that you can download and install on your phone. How to access:
- Press
> Slide up the All Programs icon (
) > Play.
- If you don't already have a Google account, you will need to set one up. Go to http://www.gmail.com.
- Tap Accept to agree to the Google Play terms of service when you first access the service.
- Explore Google Play.
Taking pictures with your phone's built-in camera is as simple as choosing a subject, pointing the lens and pressing a button.
- Press
> Slide up the All Programs icon (
) > Camera to activate camera mode.
- Using the phone's display screen as a viewfinder, aim the camera lens at your subject.
- Press the camera button or touch until the shutter sounds. (Your phone automatically saves the picture to the DCIM folder on the microSD card.)
You can transfer music, pictures and videos to and from your phone with the USB Mount feature. This feature is supported by most Windows and Mac operating systems, but it is dependent on your computer's setup. If you experience problems when connecting your phone to your computer, try restarting your system first. If that doesn't help, you may need to purchase a microSD to USB converter, such as a MobileMate.
- Connect your phone to your computer using a compatible USB cable. (Wait for the connection to be completed. When connected, the host computer will automatically detect your phone.)
- The USB icon (
) now appears on the left side of the status bar on your phone.
- Press
> Notifications to open the Notifications panel.
- Tap USB connected > Mount. You can drag and drop files onto your phone now.
