Please don't turn on your phone until prompted to during the activation process. We want to ensure that your activation goes as smoothly as possible.
You can activate your phone using our easy self-activation instructions. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
Prefer to call us to activate? Please use another phone to call our customer service team at 800-411-0848. If you're transferring the number from your current phone to your new phone, please don't use either phone when you call us.
This call can take up to 30 minutes. If you'd like help setting up email on your phone, have your user name and password handy.
Please note: If you're transferring the number from your current phone to your new phone, you'll get a text message from us confirming that the transfer is complete.
All unanswered calls are automatically transferred to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. You should set up your voicemail and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated:
- From the home screen, tap
.
- Tap and hold 1 on the keypad to dial voicemail.
- Follow the voice prompts to create your 4–10 digit password and record your name and greeting.
Connect to a Wi-Fi network for fast data speeds when you're checking email, browsing the web, downloading apps and more. By default, your phone's Wi-Fi feature is turned off. Turning it on allows your phone to find and connect to Wi-Fi networks.
To turn Wi-Fi on:
- Press

> System settings.
- Tap the switch next to Wi-Fi to turn Wi-Fi on.
- Tap Wi-Fi. You'll see a list of available networks and their security settings (open networks will simply show the network name).
- Tap a Wi-Fi network to connect to. If you select an open network, your phone will automatically connect. For secured networks, enter the password and tap Connect.
When you're connected to a Wi-Fi network, you'll see the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar. Your phone will automatically remember and connect to the Wi-Fi network the next time you're in range if Wi-Fi is on.
By default, the Bluetooth feature is turned off. To turn on Bluetooth and pair a headset:
- Press

> System settings.
- Tap the switch next to Bluetooth to turn it on. When Bluetooth is active,
appears on the status bar.
- Tap Bluetooth. You'll see a list of available devices.
Please note: Your headset must be in pairing mode so your phone can see it. Please see your headset's user guide for instructions.
- Tap a device you'd like to pair with, enter the passkey from your headset's user guide if it asks for one, and tap OK.
Please note: Activating Bluetooth can drain your battery faster. We recommend only turning it on when you need it.
