Send texts and e-mails faster with your LG Rumor2, our stylish new messaging and music phone. You'll enjoy convenient features like threaded messaging and Web browsing, as well as a digital camera and MP3 music player, all while raising donations for progressive nonprofit groups.
You should fully charge your new phone before you begin using it. Plug in your phone and charge your battery for 24 hours.
Just follow the instructions below to self-activate your CREDO Mobile phone.
- Turn on your new phone by holding down the End key (usually red) for 3 seconds.
- On your phone, go to the main menu. Select the Tools icon, press OK. Go to Activate, press OK.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your new phone. After each entry or selection, highlight Next or Done, then press OK. When you see your new phone number, write it down for future reference. On the final screen, select Done to complete your activation.
For new numbers, activation may take up to 4 hours to complete. If you are transferring a number from another carrier, this process may take up to 24 hours. If your phone still isn't working after 24 hours, please call customer service at 800.411.0848.
- To turn your phone on, press and hold the red Power/End button. Wait for the screen to light up. Now you're ready.
- Enter the 7-digit or 10-digit number you want to call.
- Your phone has a green Talk button. Press it to dial your number.
- Press and hold the 1 key. (The 1 key has a picture of an envelope on it.)
- Now simply follow the prompts to:
- Create your password (a number from 4 to 10 digits).
- Record your name (you have 10 seconds).
- Record your greeting (you have 30 seconds).
- In a text-entry screen, slide open the QWERTY keyboard. (The display automatically adjusts to landscape mode.)
- Use your thumbs to enter text.
- To change capitalization, press the Shift key in the upper left corner.
- To enter alternate characters on a key, press the FN (Function) key and then press the desired key. To lock the FN key (as when entering a series of numbers), press it twice.
- To enter symbols, press the Emoticon (smiley face) key on the top row and select a symbol.
- Slide open keyboard, select Text Message and choose the entry method you prefer:
- Go to Contacts to select a recipient from your internal contacts. (Entries must contain a wireless phone number or an e-mail address.)
- New Address (right softkey) to use the keypad to enter the wireless phone number or e-mail address of the person to whom you wish to send a message.
- Multiple (left softkey) to add multiple recipients.
- Press the Menu/OK key.
- Use your keypad to compose a message.
- To use a preset message press the right softkey, select Add Preset Message. Highlight your desired message and press the Menu/OK key.
- To mark the message as Urgent, press the right softkey and select Mark as Urgent.
- If you wish to change your callback number, press the right softkey, and select Set Callback Number. Select None, My Phone Number or Other, and press the Menu/OK key. (If you select Other, enter the desired number and press the Menu/OK key.)
- Press Send (left softkey) to send the message.
- From the Main Menu, go to Media Player. Select a song to play and press OK.
- You can copy MP3 files from your computer using a microSD card. MicroSD cards are available for purchase separately.
- From your phone’s Main Menu, scroll and select the My Stuff icon.
- Select Ringers (ringtones), Screen Savers, Games or Applications.
- Use your phone’s arrow keys to highlight and select item(s) you want to buy. Search for downloadable content by one of three ways:
- Featured: Our most popular and most recent content.
- Categories: Groups of content, sorted by type.
- Search: Browse for specific content.
- Select Buy. “Download initiating” appears. Final notification will be sent to your phone once the purchase process is complete.
- Choose Run to begin using your new content right away, or Shop to continue to shop more downloads.
- From the Main Menu, go to Photos > Camera. Or press the camera button on the side of the phone and select Camera to activate camera mode. (Additional camera options are available through the Options menu in camera mode.)
- Using the phone's main display screen as a viewfinder, aim the camera lens at your subject.
- Press Capture (left softkey), Menu/OK key or the side camera button until the shutter sounds. (The picture will automatically be saved in your selected storage area.)
- To return to camera mode to take another picture, press the side camera button.
- Press Options (right softkey) for more options:
- Send to send your picture.
- Upload to upload the picture to your service provider's Web site.
- Assign to assign the picture to a phone task, such as:
- Picture ID to assign the picture to one of your contacts.
- Screen Saver to use the picture as a screen saver.
- Delete to delete the picture you just took.
- Print to print the pictures. You can choose to pick up your prints at a retail store, have them mailed to you or use a Print- or Bluetooth®-enabled printer.
- Post to Service to access available services. Select Update to display the latest services.
- Review/Send Media to open the In Phone folder or microSD folder (if available) to review your saved pictures.
- Take New Picture to return to camera mode to take another picture.
