Activation issues

If you just activated your phone and it's not working, the quick updates below will fix most connection problems.

  1. Turn off your phone by holding down the power button for a few seconds.
  2. After your phone turns off completely, wait about 30 seconds and then turn your phone back on by holding down the power button for a few seconds.
  3. Press the Home key then tap Main Menu.
  4. Scroll down and select Settings > Data > Update Profile. The update may take a few minutes.
  5. When the update is finished and you're back on the home screen, press the Talk key.
  6. Test your voice connection by calling 888-281-2461. You should hear a short recorded message if your phone is working properly.

Plan to send picture messages, access the web or use email, Facebook or Twitter from your phone? You can test your data connection by pressing the Home key and then tapping Main Menu > Web. If the Google page loads, your data connection is working. Please note: If you don't have a data plan, testing your data connection will cost a small amount of money. Pay-per-use data costs $1.99/MB, and your total monthly usage will be rounded up to the next full MB.
