The Marketplace app on your phone gives you access to a wide array of apps, games, music and podcasts that you can download to personalize your phone. You can shop all that plus movies and TV shows by shopping the Marketplace using Zune software on your computer, which is available at zune.net.
Please note: To download items in the Marketplace, you'll need a Windows Live account. If you don't have one, you can sign up for a free account at live.com. To set up the account on your phone, check out our email setup instructions.
To shop from your phone:
- Press
and tap Marketplace
.
- Tap a category to browse available content. You can tap
on any screen to search by name or keyword.
- HTC Apps: Browse free exclusive apps offered by HTC.
- apps: Slide your finger left or right to browse by categories, new, top and featured.
- games: Slide your finger left or right to browse by genres, xbox live, new and featured.
- music: Slide your finger left or right to browse by featured, new releases, top albums and genres.
- Tap an item to see a description, user reviews and screenshots.
- For free items, tap install. For paid items, tap try to sample the app or buy to purchase it.
- Press
and tap
to view your apps list.
- Touch and hold the app you'd like to remove. A menu will pop up.
- Tap uninstall > yes.
Please note: You may not be able to uninstall all of the apps that came preinstalled on your phone.
Taking pictures and videos with the built-in camera is as simple as choosing a subject, pointing the lens and pressing a button.
To use the camera:
- Press the camera button on the lower right side of your phone. (The first time you use the camera, tap allow if you want the camera to use your location.)
- Aim the camera lens at your subject, and press the camera button or tap the screen to take a picture.
To use the camcorder:
- From camera mode, tap
. The video counter will appear on the screen.
- Press the camera button to begin recording.
- When you want to stop, press the camera button again.
To access camera and camcorder settings (such as flash, resolution and effects):
Tap
and tap the item you'd like to change. If you change the flash setting, the camera will automatically use this setting the next time you use your camera. If you'd like to save other settings for future use, tap Save settings after you make the change.
While in camera mode:
Swipe the bar at the top of the screen down. (If you're holding the phone horizontally, you'll swipe left to right.) You can view older photos by swiping from the top of the phone down.
From the Pictures app:
Press
and tap Pictures > camera roll.
To see options for a picture (such as share or delete):
Tap
while on the photo and tap an option.
To transfer items to and from your phone, you'll need to install Zune software on your computer. This free software makes it easy to shop for, enjoy and manage music and other media on your computer, transfer files to and from your Arrive, update your phone and more.

Please note: Zune software is only available for PCs. If you have a Mac, you'll need to download Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac.
