Californians Tell Senator Feinstein: Just Say No to the Bush Administration

CREDO Mobile, a service of Working Assets, to deliver over 2,000 letters from California constituents

WHAT: As part of its commitment to support the causes that matter, cellphone company CREDO Mobile, a service from Working Assets, will deliver 2,000 letters to Senator Feinstein’s office asking the senator to represent her constituents and stand up to President Bush. CREDO Mobile, a cellphone company that donates a portion of customers’ charges to progressive causes, enables customers to speak out on urgent issues they believe in. Through its Citizen Action program, customers can order CitizenLetters right from their phone bills, directed at targeted leaders. Customers ordered letters (copy of letter attached) to Sen. Feinstein regarding recent votes that do not represent the views of her constituents, and CREDO Mobile staff are delivering them personally with a message: Just say no to the Bush administration.

WHY: In recent months, Senator Feinstein has voted with the Bush administration and against her constituents when she endorsed and voted for torture-enabler Michael Mukasey as attorney general and ultraconservative Judge Leslie Southwick to a lifetime appointment to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. The day after the Southwick vote, she toured areas of the state hit by wildfires arm in arm with President Bush and told friends of her "illuminating" talk with him aboard Air Force One.

WHEN: Friday, January 11, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. PST

WHERE: **IN PERSON: 1 Post Street (corner of Post and Montgomery)San Francisco, Calif.
