Yes, you heard us right. All outgoing, domestic calls on CREDO Mobile and CREDO
Long Distance will be free this coming Election Day, November 4, during
the hours that polls are open in your state (based on your billing address).
A big part of CREDO's socially-responsible mission is to promote civic engagement
- democracy is not a spectator sport. So we want you to call your friends and relatives
on Election Day with a reminder to get out and voteand we're making
it easier by making the calls free for you. Voting is everyone's civic responsibility,
and we'll have a much better democracy if more people get to the polls and vote.
Text messages are not included in this program. However, texting your friends is
in fact an easy and effective way to get them out to vote. So we strongly encourage
you to use our new online tool – Text Out the Vote, on the Web at http://txtoutthevote.org – where you can set up text
messages now that will go out to your friends on Nov. 4th and remind them
to vote.
Your outgoing CREDO Mobile calls on Election Day during your state's polling hours
will be free. They won't count toward your anytime minutes limit, or contribute
to overage if you go above that limit during peak hours. For CREDO Long Distance
calls, we'll simply credit your account after Election Day to cancel out charges
for long distance calls you made on Election Day.
Incoming calls (on CREDO Mobile) - that is, when someone else calls you - are not
included in the program and will count towards your anytime minutes as usual. International
calls (on CREDO Mobile or CREDO Long Distance) are not included in this program
and will be billed as usual.
