Send a text or MMS (multimedia) message
  1. If you're not on your home screen, press the End/power key to return to it, and then press the left Option key (the top left key) to select MESSAGING.
  2. Select Send Message.
  3. Select a recipient from the recent list displayed or select:
    • Go to Contacts (at the top of the screen) to select a recipient from your Contacts. Highlight the recipient and then press the Menu/OK key.
    • NEW ADDR (press the right Option key at the top right of the keypad) to enter a phone number or email address directly and then press the left Option key to select CONTINUE.
    • MULTIPLE (press the left Option key). Select recipients from the recent list or select Go to Contacts and then select recipients. Press the left Option key to select CONTINUE when you're done.
  4. Use the keypad to enter a message or press the right Option key to select OPTIONS for additional options, such as changing the text mode or choosing a preset message.
  5. If you'd like to send an attachment (such as a photo), tap <Add Attachment>, choose a file type, select the files you'd like to attach and press the left Option key to select NEXT.
  6. When you're ready, press the left Option key to select SEND.

When you receive a message, your phone will display a notification. Select View to view the message. To reply, simply press the left Option key to select REPLY then compose your message.

Please note: MMS (picture) messaging uses data. If you don't have a data plan for your phone, you'll be charged a pay-per-use rate of $1.99/MB for your data use. Your total monthly usage will be rounded up to the next full MB.
