You'll be sending the right message every time you use your Sanyo 2700 with E-mail from CREDO Mobile. It's quick and easy to send e-mails and text messages with the full QWERTY keyboard. Message your friends and loved ones, all while helping raise vital donations for the progressive causes you care about.
Just follow the instructions below to self-activate your CREDO Mobile phone.
- Turn on your new phone by holding down the End key (usually red) for 3 seconds.
- On your phone, go to the main menu. Select the Tools icon, press OK. Go to Activate, press OK.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your new phone. After each entry or selection, highlight Next or Done, then press OK. When you see your new phone number, write it down for future reference. On the final screen, select Done to complete your activation.
For new numbers, activation may take up to 4 hours to complete. If you are transferring a number from another carrier, this process may take up to 24 hours. If your phone still isn't working after 24 hours, please call customer service at 800.411.0848.
Setting up e-mail on your Sanyo 2700 is quick and easy. If you plan to set up e-mail on your device, we strongly recommend you add a mobile web plan to cut down on your costs.
- Press your phone's center key, then find and select Messages.
- Scroll down and select Email.
- Use the Setup Wizard to help you set up your e-mail account.
Your Sanyo 2700 with E-mail can support multiple e-mail accounts at one time. The maximum amount is determined by your inbox sizes. During testing, we were successfully able to sync six accounts at once, but your experience may vary. If you plan to set up e-mail on your device, we strongly recommend you add a mobile web plan to cut down on your costs.
- From within the e-mail application, press your right soft key button labeled Menu.
- Using your direction pad, highlight Settings.
- Scroll down and select Accounts.
- Select Manage Accounts.
- Select Add Account.
- You will be taken to a Setup Wizard similar to the one you used to create your first account. Complete the wizard and enjoy your e-mail.
Your Sanyo 2700 with E-mail can wirelessly sync with your Gmail calendar. If you plan to set up wireless calendar sync on your device, we strongly recommend you add a mobile web plan to cut down on your costs.
- Press your phone's center key to pull up the Main Menu, then find and select Messages.
- Scroll down and select Email.
- Go through the setup wizard and choose Gmail as your service.
- By signing in to your Gmail service, you will be adding both Gmail e-mail and calendar sync.
- To access your calendar, pull up the Main Menu and select Calendar.
Note: It may take a couple of minutes for all your calendar info to sync; please be patient.
Installing the Battery
Always turn off your device before installing or replacing the battery and storage card. You also need to remove the back cover before you can install these components.
To remove the back cover
- Make sure your device is turned off.
- Press and hold the Battery Release Latch.
- Push the back cover up with your thumb until it disengages from the device.
To install the battery
- After removing the batter cover, insert the battery ensuring the connectors are aligned.
- Replace the back cover.
To remove the battery
- Make sure your device is turned off.
- Remove the back cover.
- Carefully lift up on the battery to remove it.
Charging the Battery
New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your device, it is recommended that you install and charge the battery. Some batteries perform best after several full charge/discharge cycles. To charge the battery:
- Connect the micro USB connector of the AC adapter to the sync connector on your device.
- Plug in the AC adapter to an electrical outlet to start charging the battery.
Note: Only use Kyocera approved chargers. An AC Adapter and USB sync cable was provided with your device to charge it. Use of unauthorized AC Adapters and USB sync cables can impact the performance of your device.
Compose and send a text message
Press the TEXT key to enter text message mode, then follow the steps below to compose your message and then send it.
- To add recipients, select them from the list, or use the following options:
- Go to Contacts allows you to select one of your existing contacts.
- MULTIPLE (left softkey) allows you to choose multiple recipients.
- NEW ADDRESS (right softkey) allows you to send the message to a new address.
- Compose your text message.
- Review your message and hit the left softkey button to SEND.
Connecting to the internet
Press MENU > Web to start the data connection. Note: Accessing the internet will require an internet service plan.
Navigating the internet
- Scrolling. Use the nagivation keys to scroll on a Web site.
- Selecting Content. Use the left softkey, or press OK to select an item or activate a link.
- Back Button. Press Back key on the phone.
- Home Button. Press and hold the Back key on the phone.
