Taking pictures with the built-in camera is as simple as choosing a subject, pointing the lens and tapping a button.
- Press
>
> Camera.
- Aim the camera lens at your subject.
- Tap
to take a picture.
To view your photos while in camera mode:
Tap the thumbnail in the bottom right corner. Swipe from right to left to see older photos. Tap
on any photo for options such as sharing, editing or deleting the photo.
To switch to the front-facing camera:
Tap
in the bottom right of the camera screen.
You can take video of the things around you with the rear-facing camera—or take videos of yourself with the front-facing camera.
- From camera mode, press
and tap Switch to video.
- Aim the lens at your subject, and tap
to begin recording.
- When you want to stop, tap the red button again.
To switch to the front-facing camera:
Tap
in the bottom right of the camera screen.
You can transfer music, pictures and videos to and from your phone using a USB cable.
- Connect your phone to your computer using the included USB cable.
- You should see a USB connected notification at the top of your screen. Drag the notification panel down and tap USB connected > Turn on USB storage > OK.
- On your computer, find and open the newly created removable disk (or drive) for your phone. (This is found in Computer or My Computer on a PC and on your desktop on a Mac.)
- Open the folder on your computer that you'd like to move files to or from.
- To move files from your computer to your phone, drag and drop them from the folder on your computer to the main folder of your phone's drive.

To move files from your phone to your computer, drag and drop the files from your phone's drive to the desired folder on your computer.
- When you're done, tap Turn off USB storage on your phone so you safely disconnect.
Before you begin, be sure to turn GPS on in settings:
- Press
>
> System settings > Location services.
- Tap GPS satellites if it's not already checked. A check mark will appear. You may also want to check Google's location service if it's not checked as this can make it easier to find your location.
Now to get turn-by-turn, voice-guided directions:
- Press
>
> Navigation.
- If you get a pop-up message, read through and tap Accept to continue.
- To enter a destination, you can tap:
- Speak Destination to use the voice recognition feature to search for matching locations in your area.
- Type Destination to type in an address.
- Contacts to choose an address in your Contacts.
- Starred Places to get directions to a location you starred in Google maps.
- Once the destination has been selected, the turn-by-by turn voice guided navigation will begin.
Please note: GPS can drain your battery faster. We recommend only turning it on when you need it.
