We know it’s tempting, but please don’t turn on your phone or insert the battery until prompted to during the activation process. We want to ensure that your activation goes as smoothly as possible.
You can activate your phone using our easy self-activation instructions. It shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
Prefer to call us to activate? Please use another phone to call our customer service team at 800-411-0848. If you’re transferring the number from your current phone to your new phone, please don’t use either phone when you call us.
This call can take up to 30 minutes. If you’d like help setting up email on your phone, have your user name and password handy.
All unanswered calls are automatically transferred to your voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off. You should set up your voicemail and personal greeting as soon as your phone is activated:
- Press and hold the 1 key to call voicemail.
- Follow the voice prompts to create your 4–10 digit password and record your name and greeting.
Connect to a Wi-Fi network for fast data speeds when you’re checking email, browsing the web, downloading apps and more. By default, your phone's Wi-Fi feature is turned off.
To turn Wi-Fi on:
- From the home screen, swipe up the navigation bar or double-press the Menu key (
) to open the All panel if it’s closed.
- Scroll down and select Manage Connections (
)
- Check the Wi-Fi check box if it’s not already checked.
- Scroll down and select Wi-Fi Network to view a list of available networks.
- Select a network to connect to. If you select an open network, your phone will automatically connect. For secured networks, enter the password and select Connect.
When you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network, you’ll see (
) in the status bar. If Wi-Fi is on, your phone will automatically remember and connect to the Wi-Fi network the next time you’re in range.
