Google Play offers a huge selection of apps, games, books and movies that you can download to personalize your phone. To get started:

1. Press > > Play .
2. If you don't already have a Google account on your phone, you'll need to set one up. You can sign in using an existing Google or Gmail account, or create a new one. Just follow the on-screen prompts.
3. Tap Accept to agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. (You only need to do this on your first visit.)
4. To find what you want:
   • Browse: Tap a main category on the Google Play home screen then explore.
   • Search: Tap on any page, enter the name or keyword, and then tap again.
5. Tap an item to read a description and user reviews.
6. Tap Install (for free items) or the price button (for paid items and rentals).

1. Press > > Play .
2. Press and tap My Apps.
3. Tap the app you’d like to uninstall.
4. Tap Uninstall > OK

Please note: You may not be able to uninstall all of the apps that came preinstalled on your phone.

Taking pictures with the built-in camera is as simple as choosing a subject, pointing the lens and pressing a button.

Please note: Be sure your microSD card is installed, as this is where your photos and videos will be stored.

1. Press >  > Camera .
2. Aim the camera lens at your subject.
3. Tap to take a picture.

To view your photos while in camera mode, tap the thumbnail in the bottom right corner. Swipe from right to left to see older photos. Tap on any photo for options such as sharing or deleting the photo.

To switch to the front-facing camera, tap in the bottom left of the camera screen and tap Front. Or tap while in camera mode and tap Switch Camera.

Please note: This phone doesn't currently support text messaging with picture and video attachments (MMS), but you can share pictures and videos via email, social media and uploads to the internet.

You can take 720p HD video with the rear-facing camera. You can also take videos of yourself with the front-facing camera.

1. Press >  > Camcorder .
   -or-
   If you’re in camera mode already, move the on-screen slider from to .
2. If prompted, choose whether you want to record video mail or a long video.
3. Aim the lens at your subject, and tap to begin recording.
4. When you want to stop, tap .

1. Press >  > Gallery .
2. Tap the album you’d like to view.
3. Tap a thumbnail to view it larger.
4. You can swipe through your photos and tap on any photo for options such as sharing or deleting the photo.

You can also view your photos or videos while in camera or camcorder mode. Simply tap the thumbnail in the bottom right corner.

You can transfer music, pictures and videos to and from your phone using a USB cable. This will work with most Windows and Mac operating systems, but it's dependent on your computer's setup. If you have any problems connecting your phone to your computer and a restart doesn't help, you may need to buy a microSD™-to-USB converter, such as a SanDisk® MobileMate™.

1. Connect your phone to your computer using the included USB cable.
2. You should see a USB connected screen on your phone. Tap Mass Storage then Done.
3. On the Turn on USB storage pop-up, tap OK.
4. On your computer, find and open the newly created removable disk (or drive) for your phone. (This is found in Computer or My Computer on a PC and on your desktop on a Mac.)
5. Open the folder on your computer that you’d like to move files to or from.
6.  To move files from your computer to your phone, drag and drop them from the folder on your computer to the main folder of your phone’s drive.
   -or-
   To move files from your phone to your computer, drag and drop the files from your phone’s drive to the desired folder on your computer.
7. When you’re done, tap Turn off USB storage on your phone so you safely disconnect.

Before you begin, be sure to turn GPS on in settings:

1. Press > > Settings > Location & security.
2. Tap Use GPS satellites if it’s not already checked. A check mark will appear. You may also want to check Use wireless networks if it’s not checked, as this can make it easier to find your location.

Now to get turn-by-turn, voice-guided directions:

1. Press > > Navigation .
2. If you get a pop-up message, read through and tap Accept to continue.
3. To enter a destination, you can tap:
   • Speak Destination to use the voice recognition feature to search for matching locations in your area.
   • Type Destination to type in an address.
   • Contacts to choose an address in your Contacts.
   • Starred Places to get directions to a location you starred in Google maps.
4. Once the destination has been selected, the turn-by-by turn voice guided navigation will begin.

Please note: GPS can drain your battery faster. We recommend only turning it on when you need it.
