Haptic feedback is the vibration you feel when you type on the keyboard or tap certain on-screen buttons. It's designed to help you know when you've pressed something since a touchscreen doesn't provide the tactile response of physical buttons. If you prefer to turn this off, there are a couple settings you need to change.
To turn off haptic feedback on the Swype keyboard:
- Press
>
> Settings > Language & keyboard > Swype.
- Tap Vibrate on keypress to uncheck the box and turn off the vibration.
To turn off haptic feedback for on-screen buttons and the phone keypad:
- Press
>
> Settings > Sound.
- Scroll down and tap Haptic feedback to uncheck the box and turn off the vibration.
